Well, let me tell you what I think. Dad has got 3 types, namely: Bo Chap, Commander and Caring types. Here's the explanation for the various types.
1. Bo Chap. Maybe your friend D... dad is this type ? Don't care you got study or not. Don't care what games you play (irregardless of violent games .etc). Don't care about anything, not even if the com burns up in flames.
2. Commander. This type does not need any reason for doing anything. When the commander say sit, you sit. Don't ask further questions. So when he tell you don't play, you don't play. If he likes you more today, he lets you play for a while. After that, back to commander mode.
3. Caring. This type of dad has only 1 motive, that is whatever he is doing, its for you own good. If you play game, he will see what game you play and will stop you if the game is not suitable for you. If you have studies, he will not let you play games during that period of time. He will come up with all sorts of excuses just not to let you play.
So what type of dad is yours, its for you to find out. But let me tell you something, whatever dads do, they are for your own good. Imagine if you play web games and get addicted, I think the time spent on your studies will be greatly reduced. (not to say that its not even a lot now). Think this through.
