Pitstop Outing 2nd Anniversary

Finally organised a pitstop outing... Guess it was 1year ago since I last organise one for my fellow pitstompers?

Was surprise to see BJ while on NEL... More than a year since we last saw each other... She was practically staring at me when I board the train and sat next to her... While I was wondering why on earth is this gal staring at me... Only after a while that we recognise each other... LoL...

Kill time by walking around The Central while waiting for ZY... Original plan was to meet at 5pm for dinner at Clarke Quay... End up, only the three of us are meeting at 5pm... And neither one of us are hungry at that point of time... So, after ZY came, we walk around a bit more before settling down at BK to wait for Viva... Had to wait for Viva, cause he doesn't know how to go...

While we're on the way to Pitstop, second surprise received... Gab called and said that he reached! And that was like just before 6pm... Everyone kinda shock cause Gab is usually the "well-known" late king... Amazingly he's the first to reach!!

Ended up those that reach at pitstop at 6pm had dinner at Pitstop... So much for meeting at 5pm for dinner =.=

Played Tickets to Ride while waiting for the rest to be here... Took a long time... Around 1.5hr to complete the game... I won~~ Woohoo~~ with a point of 129 ^^ Eating our dinner while playing this game... Had a fun time playing this game when each and everyone of us trying to complete our destination card while trying to block people from getting to their point~ It's a race to score more point as well as complete as many destination card as possible... Totally love this game!!

Played Jurassic Jumble as well as Jungle Speed... Can't really remember which other games that was played though... Guess no more bah?

It's been a long time since I last enjoy myself this much... Forgetting practically every unhappiness and frustration... Laughing over little stuff... Just happy being myself for the night...


Though I had said previously that I would not be organising another pitstop outing... But I realise, it's hard not to.

Thanks for attending my pitstop outing since 2 years ago... Because of you peeps, I can't stop organising the next one, despite having to decide not to previously...

The laughter, the happiness, the wonderful times that we had spent at this place... The smiles that each and everyone of us have when we left the place after each round of gaming... Pitstop has been giving me, and will still give me, great memories of the unforgettable times that we had...


Trying to search for the 1st ever group photo that we had taken in Pitstop cause me to recall on the first time that we have ever meet. Though all of us were practically strangers who had nothing more than chatting with each other in Stomp thread... Who had never met before... But the outing 2years ago on 21.09.07 had spark off a friendship, that will carry on for as long as I hope it will be...


Pitstop Cafe is one of my favourite places for hanging out... Because it's the place that spark off the friendship that I have with this group of people...

The Past...

Lookin at certain stuff... This thought cross my mind again... "Perhaps, some stuff are meant to be kept in the past and not dig up anymore... Because, when you once again cross path with that person or thing, you realise, it's not the same as before..."


I remember how I been lookin for a person... Been trying to get back in contact with her after leavin primary sch... Because of facebook, I manage to find her... But somehow, after I did, I wish I have just left the past as it is, rather than to get back in contact...

Yes, the person I been looking for and was found... That should be something I'm glad of... But I ain't...

She changed, change to someone that I would totally not recognised... Though I have to admit, it's been almost 9 years that we lost contact... People bound to change...

Somehow, I just wish I still can know her as how I remember her previously... The sweet and caring big sister I had in primary school... Someone who look after me during those primary school days... After reading the stuff to post, seen the photos she display, it's hard to continue to remember her as how she was...


Perhaps, in the future when I wanna get back in contact with certain people, I may think thrice about it... Different people, different outcome... That's something I am sure of... But this incident, really leave an impact on me...

Perhaps, certain things have to be left in the past... Leave it in its good memories...


P.S.
To be frank, there is another friend that I wanna find... A nursery friend who was in the same class with me during primary 1 & 2... She moved away during primary 2, and that was the last time I was ever in contact with her... It's been 11 years... I wonder how is she...

Book: The Alchemist

Finished a book that Mom passed to me... The Alchemist... Really interesting book, which I can't really put down aft started reading... And it's been quite some time since that happen to me...

Soul of the World... Language of the World... Personal Legends... Signs...

In the book, it mention abt the 4 obstacles that each and everyone of us faced when pursuing our dreams/personal legends...

1. Lack of courage:
   Growing up with the thought that dream are impossible, slowly dreams will get buried and stayed buried deep in our soul that it became invisible, despite it being there.
   
   
2. Love:
   Having courage to pursue our dreams is not enough as we will be afraid to hurt our love ones when we put down everything to pursue our dream. Only when we realise that those who genuinely wish us well want us to be happy and are prepared to accompany us on that journey, then we're able to take another step closer to pursuing our dreams.
   
   
3. Fear of failures:
   Facing setbacks, having nothing to fall back on as we have staked everything to set on this journey of pursuing our dream, what we can do is to fall seven times and to get up eight times, don't we?
   
   
4. Fear of realizing the dream:
   We may be near to fulfilling our dream, yet, the guilt of having to achieve the dream when others didn't, may push us back. Back to the start, where the courage to pursue the dream isn't there. Feel that we do not deserve to achieve. Forgotten about the obstacles that were overcome, the sufferings that were endured, the things that were given up, the effort that was put in. And never reach the goal, when it's only a step away.

A boy, having e same dream for numerous nights, decided to have it analysis when he reach the next town. Having to meet a man, who encourage and urge him to set on the journey of pursuing his dream, he give up on his possession and set on the journey. The journey wasn't smooth, and thoughts of giving up cross his mind. However, each time, he observe signs which encourage him to carry on the journey. On his journey, he met his love and had wanted to forgo his journey to stay with her. However, his love encourage him to carry on, because she'll wait for him. And once again, he set off on his journey.

Throughout this journey, he seen more stuff that he expected, learning more than he thought he will. Learned to read the signs, learn to speak in the Language of the World. Doing his best to reach his personal legend.



When I had finished reading the book, somehow, the part about signs left me thinking... I recalled an incident that had happen almost a year ago while I was doing closing at Guardian... That day, I broke something that means a lot to me. I tried hard to find, but just couldn't find it. However, when my colleague help me to search for it, she found it immediately. That night, she told me this as well: "If it meant to be yours, it'll come back to you. Don't have to worry"

Another incident happen pretty close to that time... And if not for someone's encouragement, I believe, it would have been long over and lost...


Now that I recalled on that incident... I realise, both incident, it was because of someone else being there, helping me, encouraging me, that some stuff wasn't lost... Is it signs telling me that I can't handle stuff alone? That someone else have to be there to be there for me, to guide me, to encourage me, to help me... Only then, it would stay with me? or maybe, I wonder if I had been holding to certain stuff to tightly? Perhaps, it isn't really meant to be mine? Perhaps, I have to brace myself with the possibility of having to lose it forever?



Right now, I recalled on another incident... It was the day that I will know my test/exam result... I was walkin to the busstop and was lookin up into e sky when I saw a new moon... At that moment, this thought crossed my mind: "Is the moon smiling at me, ensuring me that my result isn't really as bad as I thought... Or is it laughing at me for not getting a good result?" When I check my result... Somehow, it's both way... I didn't fail when I thought I will... And I didn't score for the those I thought I would...



Kinda interesting when you observe what's happening around you...Though I know, most probably, in your opinion, I'm just thinking too much...

School Holiday

Almost 2 weeks gng to pass since e last time I post what I'm gng to do durin my holiday...

Busy but fulfillin for these 2 weeks... And it's finally mine to spend since end of exam~ afterall... I did enjoy e freedom frm sch after the exams... but that Saturday and the whole week after that was totally occupied by CCA production (as well as work actuall)!!! Therefore~ i'm ultra glad for these 2 weeks ^^

Anyway... this is what had/gng to happen durin these 2 weeks...

14th (Mon): Craft shoppin with Btp... Then movie with Fel @ Causeway point...
15th (Tues): Deardear came over before his movie... Then I went for my one and only Auto Vehicle pract lesson...
16th (Wed): Had two driving lessons
17th (Thurs): Chip's & Dale's Exploration Trip part 1!!
18th (Fri): Had two driving lessons... Then work from 6 til closing
19th (Sat): Working 4 til closing
20th (Sun): Sleep in til aftnn~ hehe... den Film & Video class at night

21st (Mon): Meet with Deardear... Dinner with family @ Waraku... Den walk ard wid Deardear @ suntec...
22nd (Tues): Had two driving lessons and cleared my Stage 3!! then workin from 6 til closing...
23th (Wed): Spend e whole day catchin e rest of my drama... Dinner wid mom n bro @ KFC...
24th (Thurs): Cleared my wardrobe (FINALLY!) then off to work from 4 til closing...
25th (Fri): Craftin wid Fel... Then ice cream buffet wid Da, Edith n Fel @ Ion Swensen...
26th (Sat): TGSTH 10K Hunt @ vivo in e mornin wid Fel... HongJie's 21st bday celebration @ nite...
27th (Sun): Food Chase wid Fel @ DTE @ 2pm... Mid Autumn Festival @ Buddist Society

I rmb tt time tt i wasn't interested @ e show... but somehow... I gt interested in it aft catchin 1 episode...

Somehow, the original personality of the lead gal left me tinkin lots... She's being called by the ppl ard her as 'Post-It-Note girl'... Because when she is needed, people will look for her... But when she not, she'll be neglect and left one side... Helping people with practically everything, even things that are not in her work scope or at her disadvantage... Taken for granted by the people around her...

Agreed to do for hope to get into the good books of others, for the fear of offending others...


In one of the scene, this was mention:

People love working with "Post-It-Note people", but no one will be willing to be a "Post-It-Note person"...

Indeed, who would really like to be taken granted by others... Helping others w/o bein appreciated... Give twice the effort, received half the reward...




It's not easy to put the past behind... It's even harder to change your character... Sometime, we thought we have put the past behind... Sometime, we thought we have moved on... But have we?

Been there done that... Thought to have put some stuff behind me... Only to realise that all I have done is to pretend that it's not there, until it caught up with me...

Somehow, it made me recall on something that I had confide to a friend of mine. He was telling me of times when we just know each other, how I had help him, stand up for him, giving him support when needed... At that time, all that came to my mind was: Who have I becoming to? Because at that point of time, I no longer see that side of me in myself. I broke down, when his reply to what I had said was that I didn't change, I just thought that I change, because he still see that side in me.


Isn't this what happen to her as well? She thought she moved on, she thought she change... But the fact remain that how she is at that point of time, is nothing more than just a mask that she hide behind to escape from the self that she want put behind, that she want to forget. But are things that easily forgotten? Years may go by... But it's still there as it had happen...



While you change over time, you have actually keep part of the old you in you... Because, that's what make you You!

Finally gotten e result for exam... somehow... This is the first time I'm so anxious to get my result... perhaps it's because of e repeated module bah?

Passed all... I know the result isn't good at all...

Driving Stage 3

Weeeeee~~~ I CLEARED MY DRIVING PRACTICAL STAGE 3!!!!! which mean... I learn all e lesson already!!!!!


Now left 3 assessments to be done b4 TP... hopefully can cleared those 3 assessments in 3 lessons!!


And that will means CAR LICENSE HERE I COME!!!!! WOOHOO!!!

Driving...

Having to gone for 19 driving lessons... Never have I been as irritated and fedup as the last lesson I had... ARGH!

Out of that 2 hours of lesson... I seriously think that he didn't stop talking for 5min... And what he saying isn't really constructive! ARGH!!

Asking me inch forward just to see that the taxi driver is a female?! As me wind down e window to look @ e pictures at the side of the truck?! wth!

Ok la~ to be fair... @ least he taught me parallel parkin (which, according to him, is a bonus... cuz it suppose to be covered in e next lesson)

Oh... e most irritatin thing was that... He ask me if I did S-course before or not... And THAT WAS JUST AFTER I DONE THE S-COURSE AND CRANK-COURSE ONCE FOR HIM!!! Asking me if I learn this and that already WHEN IT ALREADY COVERED IN THE PREVIOUS SUBJECTS!!! =.=

Ok~ so he praise me for progressing fast... As I have only taken 19 lessons yet have already covered 28 subjects... But seriously, he don't have to repeat it like don't-know-how-many-times... And emphasis on how lagging and far-back if the number is opposite... Eg 28 lessons and only cover 19 subjects...


I want my usual instructors!!!! Hopefully that lesson is the first and the last that I'll ever get him as my instructor...

Driving...

Woohoo~~ Cleared stage 2 for my drivin pract ^^ 2 more stages to go~


had 2 lessons 2day... in which 1st lesson, learn abt 3-points turnin, S and Crank course n E brake! 2nd lesson review of all e subjects for stage 2...

Wee~~~ my instructor say my E brake is gd ^^ haha... ok~ 1st time did wrongly though... suppose to brake hard n clutch... bt i clutch n brake same time... den end up do another time, he say gd ^^ (psst~ left mark on e rd lor~ according to him... e yellow box gt e tires markin... lol) den did another 1 near the turnin... for tis 1, really can c e mark left...

Kinda scary... cuz he only signal wen ultra near to e car infront! of cuz i dun dare to speed la~ bt gt more confident aft e 2nd try ^^ Wen he show me e demo... it all happen so fast tt i can't catch anything, other than graspin on e fact tt if not for e seat belt, i would haf oredi been flung out of e car~ had to ask him demo 1 more time cuz it just way too fast~


Can't w8 for fri lesson~ cuz it will be learnin parkin!!! i seriously need to really rmb to not let my clutch come to high... zZz... Stall super lots of time durin e 1st lesson... n ard twice or thrice for 2nd lesson?

Somehow, having to drive both manual n auto... I prefer e manual 1, though more troublesome~

Australia Study Trip Day 1

Ok~ i'm finally here to update abt my Australia Study Trip durin e June holiday~

13th June 2009:
Spent e day wid deardear... den he came over to help me wid packin (n not forgettin his naggin while packin -.-)... Had dinner wid family n deardear @ T3 Swensen... Meet e peeps near e aisle for our check in... took grp photos b4 gng in e gate~

ok~ I admit i cried k -.- cuz I miss my family n deardear n btp lor~ n cuz touched tt dey send me off la~~ bt seriously oso cuz I laugh til I cried by those jokes (n concern) frm family n deardear...

More camwhoring while w8in to board e plane... every1 is so excited~ haha... n woohoo~ clique's 1st oversea trip tgt!!!


Unfortunately, I was seated along in e plane... cuz gt 11 of us... den Mr Richard seated elsewhere cuz his return date is diff... den e rest are seated in a row (behind me)... But den... I'm kinda glad abt e seatin cuz I GOT WINDOW SEAT!!!

haf to thank Nicholas... cuz e couple sharin tt aisle wid me took my window seat actually... den he help me tell dem tt it's my seat (i paiseh~ dun dare to ask)... n dey just move out for me to move into tt window seat...

14th June 2009:
Fall aslp not long aft e plane lift off n left SG (not like it need a long to get out of SG anyway -.- practically aft lift off oredi out of SG liao =.=) missed my supper :( bt den... I woke up just in time to catch e SUNRISE!! my 1st sunrise ^^ n to tink it's on e plane~ how cool can tt can?
Touch down @ Sydney Airport n meet our friendly guide cum driver, Mr Jaka...

Camwhore wid Sock, who is my room-mate for e trip, while on our way to e 1st stop of our trip...

Sydney Fish Market!! Took a grp photo b4 we explore e area... Lunch was on our own... didn't eat cuz I was still full frm e plane meal... Lots of seafood dere (like duh!) n saw lots of diff species of prawn n lobster! clique tried on abalone n salmon sashimi... as well as e fish n chip...
n we saw this ultra big size doggie dere!!! look at the vast diff!

As it's a Sunday... it was a free n easy day for us... Mr Richard that ask his friend to bring us around Sydney... Check out a lot of e shoppin center dere... Totally love buildin dere...tis is taken inside Queen Victoria...
I love tis clock~~ e ship is actually e second hand... den u can c e time n date n day on e clock~


went to woolworth to get some snack... bot some instant soup, just in case get hungry @ nite... yummilicious chocolates n sweet n snacks~ lots of flavour tt's not available in SG!


Had dinner at Chinatown, which is located directly behind our hotel ^^... then Mr Richard bot us to Sydney Opera House for their Arts Fest... Lighting on Sydney Opera House, as well as other buildin ard it...

Had icecream while we're dere... yummy~~ enjoyin e ice cream in e coolin weather of Australia, Sydney... ooh~ n e coolest thing abt tt icecream stall? it has fudge n caramel as toppin, in dispenser, outside e icecream showcase... so u can just put e toppin urself!
Back to hotel and prepare e bday surprise for SP... haha... prank her by pressin her rm bell den every just hide near my rm... cuz SP's rm is e furthest in e corridor... Mission accomplish... She totally taken by surprise ^^


And basically... This end the 1st day of the trip ^^

Glad that I was able to get internet access n chat wid family, deardear n friends ^^ super duper miss dem~

Auto car

Had my one n only Auto Vehicle lesson 2day...

ok~ seriously... i dunno i'm lucky or wad la~ gt e instructor tt I kinda least wanted? cuz he's rather fierce!!! bt den... he pretty friendly 2day? *shrug* 1st thing he asked me was: What you doing in an auto car? my reaction? to learn to drive auto car la~ duh -.-

he trick me la~ ask me change gear... den end up need to step on brake to activate tt button so as to change e gear... Grr~ i keep pressin n pressin can't press it lor!!! !@#!@# den he say one big round just to tell me need to step on brake so that able to press the button =.=

drove in e circuit for almost an hour before movin out... tried on the slope... the 2 technique to move off from the slope... didn't manage to try the directional change though... *kinda relieve abt tt actually* tried on 1 of e course tt is tested for 3A, which is actually testin on speed n reaction... i actually scream for tt cuz i thot i move too fast -.- den i kinda jam break~

move out n drove on e road... seriously... it's easier to forget about e speed when drivin auto car... cuz no need change e gear... but lucky I gt e habit to keep checkin e speed *cuz manual need change gear mah~*

back to circuit for the last 15 minute or so... tried out S and crank course... was told tt tis will b cover for next lesson~ ^^ kinda veri happy tt i can navigate through tt course w/o prob... was worried tt i will mount e kerb durin S-course...


somehow, i feel tt steerin for auto car is much easier... in term of durin sharp turn n stuff... turns tt need to rotate e steerin wheel 2 rounds... i haf a easier time steerin e car 2day... usually i'll either turn rather slowly... or i get confuse by e num of turn i need to do to get e wheel straight... bt somehow, it didn't happen to me 2day...


anyway... 2more lesson tml~ can't w8 ^^

Craft Shoppin trip~

Went wid BTP on a craft material/equipment shoppin trip ytd... 1st stop was to Novena's Junior De Artist... Then to Plaza Singapura's Made With Love, Spotlight and Daiso... And then to Bras Basah's Art Friends, Popular and 2/3 craft shop dere... Then try our luck @ AnBC... And lastly back to Junior De Artist AGAIN!

1st Stop: Junior De Artist
Bot BTP dere aft I chance upon it when I was out wid deardear... More like e craftshop for us, cuz we gt interestin in stampin n stuff... n I wanted to get e ink set frm dere... But den... we didn't get anything... cuz e stuff was 'out-of-budget' for us... so we make our way to Plaza Singapura

2nd Stop: Made With Love
Decided to get some clear stamps as well as e blk for stampin... Den I told BTP abt e spotlight voucher tt my mom passed to me e nite b4... So she suggest tt we go to spotlight to check out if gt e circle stencil tt we're lookin for... as well as to check if spotlight gt more ink choices... so we put all my stuff back... n made our way up to Spotlight...

3rd Stop: Spotlight
ok... we walk throughout e whole craft session... n guess wad... e stampin blk @ spotlight cost practically S$10.00 LESSER than Made With Love -.- glad BTP suggested to check out spotlight 1st... we gt some ribbon to up e amt so as to use our voucher...End up, when we makin our payment den realise e date to use e voucher start on 17th! =.= zZz... *shrug* bt @ least I did save S$10 for e stampin block... so yea~

Check out daiso if gt e circle stencil tt we're lookin for... in e end dun haf... End up gettin a cuttin mat n a pencil case (to put all my markers n pens n penknife~)

ok~ so we're bak to Made wid Love agn... only get e clear stamp.. cuz other stuff is either not wad we really want... or it's too ex -.-

6th Stop: Bras Basah

Bot e ink ultimately... n a "lil" chat wid e boss dere... end up i sign up for e membership as well as purchase of Hero Art craft catalog for 2009 n 2008... membership = S$120... which include 1 goodie bag (totally worth it!!!) n oso 30% discount for my purchase (aka my inks~!)... so end up I onli pay S$7+ for e catalog wen e original price is S$30!!!

SA Production '09

I just realise, how much I didn't want to12th September to come. Not that I dread it, but rather, it's that I still not prepared to face it. Not prepare to face the SA production, an event which everyone comes together and work together.

The last event in which every departments play a big role in.

Like what Illham had said in his facebook:

With this much fun that we're having. I wouldn't want production to start. Because I do not want it to end.

It's not really an end yet for our journey. But this is the last time we seniors are working on something together. Indeed, lots of fun and laughter, lots of anger and irritation, but ultimately, we get thing done smoothly and well...


Having to supervise for this production only, I wish I can be really part of it like how other Department Heads and Assistant Heads are. Fully immersed into the production as a participants, not as a 'supervisor'. Immersed into the production like how I had for last year.

I missed being the Stage Manager (SM)... Indeed, it is a "one time" opportunity, like what Erny said last year. Cue to standby lighting. Cue to standby sound. Cue to open/close the curtain. I really do miss those time. Those 'intercom-abusing' sessions with my then juniors. And that was the time, I get to know the other departments juniors better. People like Jac, Nadeen, Hanafi, etc. And I still remember hanging out with other members and seniors after the production on the last day for the 'traditional' supper at S11, which is just below my house.


And all these are just memories of what happened last year. Much as I try to be as immersed as I can for the production, the feeling is just isn't there. Anyone understand how I'm feeling?

Time have passed, and I know that my time to shine has pass as well. As I told Erny, it's time for Shavien to shine instead, that is, if she do her role well. Having to be the one handling her responsibility and role for the past few months is more than I want to take up on. Not like I have a choice anyway.

Tomorrow will be the day. Though it ought to be drama's big day as it's their production, perhaps, because of the closeness I feel to this family, that I feel that this is the time for the whole cca to shine. Be it Drama, Dance, MCH or TMT.

I believe things will go well, because it never fail to do so.

But still, i like e movie... though rather confuse in a way tt he keep travel tru time (duh =.= he's e time traveler!)

Down side of it is tt you'll nvr noe when u'll disappear n appear in another time... You have no idea where you'll be, will it be e future or e past?

Up side of it is tt sometime, you get to experience something 1st... or like wad's in e movie, he 'predicted' e lottery num... And of cuz, to let your family c you agn aft you have really die...


Find it interestin abt e fetus travel out of e womb n go to another time and cuz a miscarriage... bt in e end, dey mange to haf dey own kid... who inherit e gene disorder of havin to time travel... bt she able to contact n stuff, so wasn't tt bad...

Driving...

So far, driving pract have been gng well n as wad i expected...

Just did right turns as well as U-turn 2day... was kinda surprise manage to cover both in just 2nite pract... it's good though...

Having so many pract now... as well as instructors for those pract... can't help havin preference over certain instructors... haha... 3 instructors in fact... ^^

I miss bein taught by my 1st instructor!!! Though he can get kinda annoyin wid all his jokes to distract me durin drivin -.-


All I hope now is that I can cleared all my lesson within this holiday (and pass my TP as well?)


Drivin out on e road @ nite is really scary~ *phew* 1st time drivin out in e nite... it's sure is heavy... bt den, i have to get use to tt dun i? If i really do wanna drive e car in e future~

Still feel like cursin n swearin @ those drivers hu cut my lane n stuff... *#(%@#$... e taxi driver tt just cut frm lane 1 to e extreme rite lane!! super close to me... wth?! thot he just gng to overtake in my lane... end up just cut vertically over to 2nd lane on my rite?! another driver more pro... drive on my rite side... den immediately cut into my lane cuz he wanna left turn into e minor rd... wth -.-


anyway... 10 more lesson to go~~ woots! can't w8 for e end of it!! I want my license by end of tis yr!! (bt hopefully to get it by end of tis holiday ^^)

A good show to watch... Values to be learn...


I do like 1 partcular part in which it talk abt father-daughter r/s... Sometime, fathers are pretty softhearted, even though dey dun show it...

Extra Income

Found myself an extra income for the holiday...

Got myself a job as video editor... woots~ though it's just S$30 for the project... and additional S$3 for each revision... well... @ least it's better than nothing no?

A good way to spend my holiday and kill those time when I had to be somewhere which I can't do much stuff...

Somehow, I just hope... that I'm able to do a good job for it and that in the future will be approach again...

Can't wait to get the last paper over with...
