i like the video, but minus the slapping part 'cos it's kinda sick. Talk'g abt p/bags ... If they dun issue, then we got 2 buy our own 2 bag our rubbish, so it's kinda of back to Sq 1. Some time ago, NTUC made their p/bags thinner (dunno 2 save their costs or environment). They break vy vy easily, resulting the cashier got 2 use double bags; n I cldn't reuse them ... lagi worse 2 the environment. Then Ikea one oso degrades with time ... though they claimed is environ-friendly, but some environ activists said it's not. My stand is, continue to issue but minimise, then reuse them. Of course, BYO bag shd also be encouraged.
Oh, instead of ask'g pple to 'DONATE' for requesting p/bags, why not they 'REWARD' pple for BYO bags. Our society seems like to 'fine' pple than 'encourage' pple.
Ytd newspaper said tt NTUC will rebate 10cents for >$10 spent for BYO bag pple, for any day ... better deal ... did NTUC read yr blog & my comments :D . Went to Ikea ytd, was not happy tt they charge for p/bags (both plastic & paper bags).
