Kayakin Course - Star 1 - Day 2...

nth much 2dae... onli do raft-up resue... n oso refinin of skills learn ytd... ohh.. n oso learn to do emergency brake...

sun ultra hot 2dae... apply sun block oso useless lar... i'm chao da liao!!! bleh :p

resue is quite fun... bt arms r pretty sore frm pullin e heavy kayak... dun like bein e victim... veri tired sia... haf to "hug"e bow of e kayak... den e neck veri suan lor...

Teng Sheng (our instructor) like to capsize ppl lar... lucky me... didn't kana it... other den durin e resue.. bobian must go tru e victim role...

wen learnin emergency brake.. he say another 1 collide wid him... or any other kayak.. haf to capsize... den he test us on e emergency brake... heng sia.. cuz i was sooooooo close to his kayak wen i do e brake... still didn't even brush his kayak @ all.. phew! it's like less den a cm away frm his kayak lor... Qing Ying kana it...

Happy Happy Happy!!! cuz i gt my star 1 cert.. wee... can go kayakin next time liao.. haha... n can cont wid star 2...

really enjoy tis course... can't w8 to go to star 2.. hope to get him as my instructor agn... quite fun to b wid lar... n oso in e same grp as now... crap a lil... jk ard a lil... fun sia...

try something new today... KAYAKING!!!

hmm... joininadc do expose me to more stuffs tt i didn't try b4 sia... rock climbin... water polo... kayakin... hmm.. wad's next...

anyway.. back to topic...haf to meet in sch by 8.15a.m. i reached @ ard 7.48a.m. bleh... shld haf cum out of my hse @ 8 sia... cuz e I/C is late lor!! ard8.25s.m den reach sch!!! haix...

proceed to Changi Sea Sports Club... 9a.m den start... so while others went to take breakfast @ changi village (located behind Changi Sea Sports Club)... me n qing ying wen to eat ice cream... muahaha... tt my breakfast sia :P...

course start... theory 1st... e do n don't... e parts of e kayak... blah blah... den finally time to get into e water... wee... FINALLY!!! lol... e theory not so bad lar... short n sweet... hehe...

learn lots of stuff:
1) Liftin n carryin of kayaks...
2) Embarkin n disembarkin e kayaks...
3) Foward paddling...
4) Reverse paddling...
5) Haltin...
6) Capsizing n empty of kayaks...

Warnin.. This will a super duper ultra long post!!! do not read if not free or not interested in knowin wad happen durin e camp!!!

ADC camp was way more fun den i expected!! really didn't expect it to b tt fun lar.. expected lot of traning n stuff.. bt dun haf!!! yay!! ^.^V

Day 1
gathered @ forum... seniors postpone e time cuz quite a few haven take dinner... den durin e actual gatherin time... was split into 6 grps... shh *whisper* i'm suppose to b in grp 5... bt in e end i go n join grp 6 :P... my grp: 4 gals, 5 guys.. n 2 leaders... then go n haf ice-breaker... quite slac... in e end play 1 round of crocodile river... sian... den make own grp flag n bandanna as identity...

here's where e fun begin to start! play mass game... which was to know other campers' name.. maskin tape wid name on e left sleeve... den balloon tie on e rite ankle... was a lil unwilling to play.. cuz scare of balloon burstin mah.. bt in e end gt play lar... quite a funny scene actually... a lot of gals jus stay by e side, keepin deir rite leg up.. den hop ard to keep balance... diff grp gang up to attack e other grp... den den more ppl kana eliminate... it bcum gals vs boys.. veri happy to say... i'm 1 of e 5 survivors!!! yay... n i onli burst 2 other balloons sia... haha... in fact... all e survivor r frm diff grp... other dne grp 4... e other grps survive!

e next game was convict n soldiers... a really great game! suppose to catch e convicts (seniors in black n holdin water gun/bombs!)... bt den... durin e whole activity, must keep within 1m frm each other... not easy to do so sia.. given tt each n every1 of us haf diff runnin speed n stamina... haha... bt e great thing is tt... we caught Rafi (president of ADC) 4 times!!! lol... @ e last 0.5hr... bcuz of tired of cunnin ard n stuff... n oso tt 4 members were kana caught (for not keepin within 1m frm each other)... n oso to keep e seniors in captive (not lettin dem escape jail agn)... den decided to stop gng ard e sch to chase more seniors... anyway... manage to keep 3 seniors in captive!!!

e seniors super cunnin 1 lor.. keep wantin to zhao wen we caught dem liao... esp Rafi!!! 1st 2 time caught him nvr send him to jail(1 of e rm in forum)... 1 main reason cuz durin e chase... we somehow injure him lar... :P... 3rd time we caught him... decided to send him to jail... hack care liao... on e way to jail... 3 ppl kana caught by e leaders... den was negotiatin wid e leader... he gt free n run away... bt b4 he can get far... e boys caught him... anyway he gt a tough time frm it lar... bt den... bcuz of him gotten free... another 2 members kana caught by seniors... -.-''' my grp so scared tt e seniors zhao... dey hold to dem really tightly while sittin outside e jail dere... n w8 for e game to end... dey dun even let e seniors go wen it's time for us to gather... to e pt tt e camp chief, nazrul, had to insist tt we let dem go :P haha... really enjoy myself in tis game... n oso really happy.. cuz my grp top tis game!!! mainly bcuz onli my grp gt keep e senior in captive... haha

den debrief n time to bath.. it's ard 12+ tt time... reply some sms tt was wishin me haf fun in camp...

Day 2
wake up early in e mornin @ 6a.m on a sat!!! suppose to gather @ e stadium @ 6.30 for PT... while w8in for all campers to gather... e seniors made us turn n face e back of e stadium n watch sun rise XD... quite nice lar... though didn't really c e sun rise lar... lol... dislike 1 of e warm-up sia. cuz arm numb... den ache a lot aft doin it.. had a competition in which we had to run ard e track once... as part of e route, we had to stop @ serveral pts to do pumpin, start jump, crutches, jumpin jacks n stuff... quite a few... really tirin...

had breakfast aft tt.. den it's time for water polo!!! 1st time tryin it... really enjoy it... my grp was in e 3rd place... wash up n stuff... den is erh... lunch... or issit scavenger hunt?! dun rmb sia :P... anyway... for scavenger hunt.. had to search ard in sch for logos n stuff.. if i didn't rmb wrongly... my grp was in e 2nd place for tis...

telematch was cancelled.. instead... e seniors made us nap... really nice.. cuz every1 was like 1/2 dead liao... was a lil more refresh aft tt.. bt i end up wid a lil stiff neck cuz e position wasn't so gd sia... slp in e forum sia... @ 1st tot e seniors wan us play e "haha" game.. in e end is let us slp... really really nice...

bt den... e main reason, i tink, is actually dey wanna use tt time to look for e rm keys tt dey had lost... wen dey unable to find it... dey ask us to bring out bags to check.. in e end.. wen my grp jus brought out e bags and abt 2 start checkin, e seniors told us tt e keys were found...

was given time to prepare for e performance @ campfire (cf).. finally decided on doin a skit... had dinner... den back to discussion n rehearsal... was really a comedy... jus couldn't stop laughin durin e rehearsal... haha XD

collect n change to camp tee.. weird idea tt my grp haf... to wear e tee back to front.. yea... cuz of our skit... was really funny sia.. wen we make our way to e dome (scene of cf)...my grp keep disturbin others by sayin dey(others) wear e wrong way... was really funny.. cuz some really believe... haha... even e seniors were confused by us...

dome too dark liao... so durin e performance.. can't really c properly.. bt den.. still quite enjoy it.. oops.. forgotten to add... it's a campfire w/o a fire... a.k.a gangshow~ my grp skit get 2nd place!!!

e best part e cf is e seniors (yr3 n alumni?) performance... dey made us all sit in e middle... i didn't suspect anything until i saw dem put a pail onto e stage... den i was thinkin.. die liao... gt water agn!!! theirs is like doin drill like tt... dey march frm other den march in... Rafi was e commender... e way he gif e commend is super funny... cuz he do it by quackin! he march frm e middle... while e others march frm e side... any other funny thing is tt wen dey march down... every1 of e campers started to zhao to higher grd... e yr 2s were like... "erh.. y u guys runnin away for?!" reason... carry on readin... hehe... den gt a guest-of-honour, vin, to inspect e squad.. e music use was e phantom of the opera... den some funny action by vin n rafi... n den durin tis time.. e water guns r out!!! bt all point @ vin... :p bt all r prepare to zhao liao by tt time... den vin left e stage... rafi gif another commend... n guess wad?! all e water guns r pointed @ us!!! every1 practically zhao liao... to e last row... den outside e dome... e seniors continue wid their performance while us(campers n yr 2) were standin outside e dome n watch.. no 1 dare to go in... cuz scared kana bomb by e water bomb... end of deir performance.. still no 1 dare to go in... even aft dey say dey not holdin e guns liao... bt in e end still gt go in.. cuz need to brief a lil mah

next was nite walk... veri time consumin sia!! somemore sooo slpy by tt time... a lot of ppl try to catch a few wink while w8in... me too... e whole thing was quite borin... hmm... no... e 2nd last part was interestin... sian sia... somemore cannot tok... even more sian... bt e 2nd last part really wake us up a lil... :P

all gather @ e rd dere behind blk A... den was divided into grps of 3... my grp was all gals... was e last few to go for tt activity... b4 tt... wen 1 of e yr 2 start on e activity... dey walk until quite some time den heard screamin frm dere... was a lil shock @ 1st lar... cuz tt grp is 2nd grp to go if i'm not wrong... bt e 1st to scream.. haha... den e camp chief n rafi told us 2nite gt dogs patrollin ard e sch... tt y dey scream n stuff... i jus accept tt reason lar... too tired to think liao... bt wen we're split into grp of 3... 1 of e gal say tt it's not dogs lar... most probably is ghost... den i was thinkin... quite rite lar... cuz for sooo long liao.. didn't even hear any dogs barkin! so we're quite prepared to face e "ghost" durin e activity...

on e way to e last station... was chattin n spotin e "ghost"... was funny lar... bt still... dere's 1 tt we didn't expected... cuz he hide behind e trees... somemore all black lor... how to c?! we had oredi walk past his position... den he suddenly run out... we heard e rustlin of e leaves.. so we turn back.. den c him runnin toward us... i tink he was tryin to hide e fact tt he's disappointed tt we didn't get frighten by him... den he start to talk crap lar...like wen we set off dey gt gif us riddle n stuff or not...den say wad he's confuse now dunno wad to do n stuff... den wen i turn n look behind me... i realise y he say all those crap.. cuz he wanna distract us while his partner cum over to scare us... -.-'''

through tis part of e nite walk.. we were like sayin to e "ghost": "hey... nice outfit" "hello!" den end up laughin our way to e gatherin pt... LOL! den e 2nd grp aft mine was screamin... those @ e gatherin pt was laugh sia... tt grp was runnin to e gatherin... wad is even funnier is tt... tt grp haf lots of ppl lor... o.O had to solve a riddle to officially end e nite walk... took ard 3+hr... camp chief say it's consider gd... yay!^.^

wake up @ a later time den day 2... PT was playin captain ball... 1st in tis game!!! last game actually draw wid seniors... den dey say dey nice enuff to gif us e chance -.-'''

den breakfast... den amazing race... den lunch... den games...last day quite slack... den seniors made a video for us... inside were photos tt was taken durin camps... prize presentation... debrief den home sweet home!!! seem like nth much... bt was dismiss @ 5+ sia...

overall... i really enjoy e camp... it was really more fun den i expected... i tot gt lot of trainin de lor... had expected nite drill too... :P too much guides trainin camp for me liao... haha... hmm... gt e urge to organise a camp for gg juniors agn sia... haha... now gt lots of idea liao sia... hehe... can't w8 for SCL camp...

startin to haf doubt if i shld b in ADC... aftall... i wasn't sporty in e 1st place...

hmm... my main reason for joinin is actually to play on e rock wall onli... but den.. aft e tt time on e rock wall... i dunno if i'm really wanna b in ADC sia... hmm...

i noe tt ADC somehow is a lil similar to GG... in a way.. e campin n e outdoor cookin... bt den.. both r on diff lvl lor... hmm...

really havin my doubts sia... c 1st bah... @ least go for my Star 1 & 2 kayakin course 1st den decide... mayb by tt time... all my doubts r gone?!

ADC - rock climbin!!!

rock climbin is really fun!!! my 1st time doin it...

though my sec 2 camp oso gt...i didn't try... cuz scared... of wad... i dunno...

was late for cca... so miss e PT part...

was feelin scared while w8in for my turn... bt den... still gt climb lar... bt den... didn't manage to finish it... tink less den half e distance...

den aft tt e seniors show e diff skill n diff climbin method... speed climbin... tt's really fast... tt climber onli use 3 sec!!!

den we oso do climbin w/o ropes... bt den... for tt onli can climb up to 4-5 metre... we try tt...
n i'm glad to say... i'm able to complete e route tt e senior gif... lose my footin in e beginning.. den i try agn...

next wed doin actually adventure training course liao... or ATC for short.... rock climbin on mon n fri... most prob goin for fri 1 bah.. dunno abt it... can't w8 to climb it agn.... i wanna get to e top!!!
