Musical: Wicked!

Caught my 2nd musical: Wicked! @ MBS with Azian and Rose...

My 1st foreign production~ woots! Waiting for The Phantom of the Opera to come back~ So wanna catch that too!

1stly: I didn't expect the dragon to move. I thought it was just a deco that's all

2ndly: The lighting, the sound, the props... All wow me! In short, I'm watching the musical more than just any audience... I'm watching with the experience in TMT

3rdly: I'm kinda surprise by the storyline, how they actually link the characters in the Wizard of Oz and explained it in this musical... *two thumbs up!*

Lastly: It make me missed being part of TMT! Those times during production etc...

Never regret going... *but then again, why do I ever regret watching ANY musical?*

Bought 'Wicked The GRIMMERIE'... even though it's pretty costly *S$70!!* But it's really interesting to read about how the idea came about etc, the script, the 'blueprint', the thoughts and feelings of the actors/actresses/director/crew...

Bought the OST as well as the programme booklet as I collect it... In a way a memory of the musical I went to~

If you're still hesitating about going... Don't think anymore! Go grab the tickets before the show leave town!

Still rmb how i wasn't really interested. Cuz it's ghost story. And it's rocks =.= However, keep hearing over 100.3 and the song they play from 聊斋 Rocks got me interested in watchin!!!

After watching it yesterday. Kinda realise that the above song is the most hyper/happy song in the musical. Well~ can't forget that my favourite song of the musical even before I went to watch. Hehe...

Quite amuse by some of the stuff. Like how the blind man 'read' the work by the scholar just by sniffing. *laugh as I recall* And also the end there, the ultra super quick change!

Worth watchin!!! Ought to watch if you yet to catch it! Recommended!

Forbidden City is a must watch musical! it was really great!!!

sit in circle 2 wid putri, ms mok n mdm ng... sad thing was tt Kit Chan was nt in e afternoon show.... haix.... but still e musical is beautiful...

wad really amazin me was tt e simple props dey used.... n e songs r just beautiful... i even bought e CD...

I wanna watch again! tis time go wid sch de... so onli pay $20 (e original price was $58)... hope next time can watch again!!!

p.s. those yet 2 watch.... go catch it b4 it's 2 late!!! end on 30th!

wen 2 watch MF Musical: The Fairy's Doll... jus haf 2 say... it's great... fantastic... fabulous... bravo... brava...

e story line is quite similar 2 those of Ice Queen... howeva... e sis n bro dun haf a gd relationship in e 1st place... e story start wen a CEO of a big company decided 2 build a casino in e forest... n right where e fairy r... trouble started wen 1 dae wen deir mom wen 2 e city 2 sell vegetable n ask e sis 2 look after e bro... e sis wish tt e bro will b gone 4eva...

like e sayin: beware of wad u wish 4... or it may jus cum true... tt wad happepn 2 e sis... her wish cum true... n e voodoo fairy use a doll 2 trap her bro n bring him in2 e enchanted forest... e sis really regretted 4 nt takin gd care of her bro... as well as regret makin tt wish...

she try 2 rescue her bro out of e forest... but she had a hard time lookin 4 her bro... she stumble over 2 e casino constrution instead... over der... she try all ways 2 persuade e CEO 2 gif up her ambition 2 build e casino in e forest... in e end.. she suceeded n save e trees...

wen she was alone...1 of e most ancient tree talk 2 her n told her how 2 rescue her bro... e onli way is 2 exchange wid an item of e same value... den she set off again 2 find her bro...

tis time she found her bro... in order 2 save her bro... she sacrifice herself... bt den e voodoo fairy go back on her word... she didn't wan 2 free e bro... jus wen e sis was goin 2 b killed by e voodoo fairy, e fairy king n queen arrive...

onli den it dawn 2 e sis tt e fairy king was e tree tt she had saved... cuz as a fairy, deir spirit is attach 2 a tree... wen e tree die... e fairy die 2... therefore... e sis had indirectly saved e king live...

2 repay her... e king said tt onli 1 person can b free 2 go... while e other is 2 stay in e fairy world 4eva... nt able 2 go 2 e outside world... 2 b 4gtten by e others...

e sis decided tt she would b e 1 stayin... since she had cuz all tis 2 happen... she bcum a fairy since den... while her bro manage 2 go home n b @ deir mother side... he had believe tt 1 dae she will cum back 2 dem... which was a lie told by her 2 assure him...

really a great play... a pity tt dey onli had 2 nites performances... if tis is a fund-raisin... i guess it will b a great success... hope dere such play by MF in e future... n each time better!!!

P.S. if dey goin 2 made it in2 a vcd... i tink i goin 2 buy it... it jus a much 2 great play 2 miss!!! e song is nice! though nt as nice as HSM!

e synopsis of the play :
This is one of Shakespeare's most famous and popular comedies. The story follows the fortunes of the beastly Petruchio as he attempts to tame the wild beauty of Kate and claim not just her hand in marriage but a slice of her foolish father's gold. Meanwhile Kate's young sister is chased by a string of would-be husbands who will resort to any trick, or adopt any disguise, to claim their pretty prize. As ever the Bard (as he is known) explores serious themes through comedy. These include the battle of the sexes, the role of women, the hypocrisy of men and the true value of gold and love. Of course Shakespeare was writing about a very different society from today but he explores universal issues, so that even if we disagree with his position it allows us to examine our own attitude to the role of men and women today.


wen 2 watch tis play @ Raffles Hotel... so shiock sia... out of sch almost e whole day... e whole of sec 4 n 5 go n watch... Enjoyable trip sia... nvr expect e show 2 b a comedy... nth tt i haf expected...

quite a small grp of ppl performin... overall onli 6 ppl... wid 2 gal n 4 guy...so some of e gal part is taken up by e guy...

wen we jus went in... i didn't noe tt dey're actin liao... i tot dey were jus chit-chattin since still nt time yet... bt tt nt it... dey r performin liao! after every1 settle liao... @ e back gt a guy sudden stood up(i tink, cuz i was @ e front)... den shounted a lots of stuff... i nvr expect it 2 b part of e show... i jus tot he was an outsider hu pay 2 watch e show... n 2 tink i was irritated wid he cuz i tot he goin 2 spoil e show... wen all along he was PART of e show...

quite cheap sia... onli $10... cuz e sch pay for us part of it... if go sistic buy is $55... 2 bad dey onli perform in Singapore for 3 days... n tml is e last dae le...

tink tis will b e 1 n onli chance bah... hope dere more chance 2 watch such play in e future... *crossed my fingers & pray hard* i wish, i wish, wid all my might!!!!
