here's come 6 weeks of holiday... camps, pitstop outin, work, chalet, NEwater volunteer work...



haf to go back to sch... 1st for camp on 6th n 7th... den to make popiah for advisory committee on 18th... den hopefully can b OGL for freshman orientation...



lookin forward to 1st march... YA orientation!!!!

ok... tis time really last day trainin le... suppose to b jen yan's, durga's n ziyi's assessment... den eugene n i go back to ka jiao :p

anyway... wanna haf a go agn... cuz not really pleased wid ytd performance :(

jen yan went in e mornin... den durga didn't come due to some problem... so in e end... onli ziyi, eugene n me... ohh... n another gal...

anyway... meet @ 12.05... so too late for breakfast... to early to eat lunch... so order delivery agn... KFC!! haha... learn frm elaine tt we're e onli trainees tt order delivery :P even e other senior staffs oso tease us... sayin ytd mac... 2day kfc... tml ???

not enuff tours... so... since me n eugene haf our assessment ytd... both of us do tgt... took SPF (singapore police force)... 120 ppl!! hmmm... quite ok though... haha... not as nervous as ytd... anyway... eugene was chattin wid 1 of dem... den we learn tt a lot of dem actually frm NYP... n ziyi n eugene manage to "find" deir senior :) cfm won't find mine... cuz FS tis yr 2nd yr onli mah...

bleah... till now i didn't manage to do e 1st part... as in b4 e auditorium de... sian...

n yep... tt's me @ e IPU theater... tryin to explain wad is gng to happen next...

anyway... we took e last tour... so aft IPU... we dun really haf to do anything liao... bt still haf to follow... n so... boredom!!

diff scope of work 2dae... aft all those camwhorin... went to help out for preparation of function for tml... put e table n chair covers... dry those wine glass n tea cups... helpin to pack e goodie bags... align e NEWater, wineglass n folder on e table... blah blah... elaine was glad tt we're dere to help :)

anyway... ziyi n eugene r.... hmm... dunno how to say lar... dey're mad enuff to pretend tt e chair covers r skirt @.@ *faint* proof below :p

n dey're bored enuff to play wid e window bind... hehe... lookin @ e window bind will always remind me tt funny incident durin e oreientation... wen we're gng to e bus dere... LOL

stay until so late tt we leave wid e rest of e staff too... anyway... didn't take tt shuttle bus... cuz adeline drove us to bedok... n we had dinner wid elaine... she wanna treat us de... bt we bu hao yi si... so she treat drink...

hmmm... chat quite a lot wid e staff dere 2day... mayb cuz 2dae not really busy wid tour? n oso not havin tt trainin session wid elaine... we're hangin out @ e pantry wen we eatin out KFC... den chat wid darren n anne... den dinnertime wid elaine...

It's a great experience dere @ NEWater... a few of us (jen yan, zi yi, me) plan to go back durin e next holiday... if time permit... if it wasn't for tis volunteer session @ NEWater... i may not even noe dem... cuz aftall... we're all in diff course, diff yr... FS, MB, PS...

bt it's a pity not able to take a full grp photos... didn't manage to take any wid elaine, jen yan n durga... haix

i'm glad tt i went for tis... even though my clsmates didn't :)

if it's not for tis... will our paths ever cross?

bleah... i would rather take a bunch of pre-school kids den adults... @ least... @ e water-wise arcade i can b busy den to like walk ard wid nth to do...

tokin abt e water-wise arcade... i wonder y tt wen i say onli 6 ppl allowed on e raft... dey dun understand or wad?! 1st few times ok... dey onli haf 6 ppl... den i go walk ard come back... more den 6 agn! -.-" anyway... ds like stand dere do nth like tt...

like i say in e previous post... havin NEWater assessment tml... haix...

so far... since tt day in which i can't rmb... it seem tt everyday... cfm gt @ least once tt e NEWater script will go tru my head de... haix... n most of e time seem to b onli tt 1st part b4 e auditorium... arr!!!

Gd mornin/afternn, ladies n gentlemen/ boys n girls. Welcome to NEWater visitor centre. For the next hour or so, we'll be on a journey to learn more abt Singapore's water supply. Tru tis video, we gng to learn more abt the water in Singapore... for eg. how much water is consumed per day in Singpore... the water resources... etc. Pls note tt photography is allowed. however, video recordin is strictly not allowed due to security reason. We r now @ e IPU theater. IPU stand for indirect potable use. It means how we're using NEWater indirectly for drinkin, by pumpin it back into e reservoir. There's another use for NEWater, which is direct non-potable use, in which NEWater is send to industry to use for cleanin of chips. Do u noe that singapore is not e onli country usin tis technology? other countries like UK, US and Germany haf been usin tis for more den 25 yrs... we're gng to learn wad make singapore do e same. pls enjoy e show. i'll c u later...

Finally lead a tour ytd...

due to misunderstandin... i volunteer to b e 1st 1... bt onli i volunteer liao... i realise tt is do whole tour... not 3 ppl do 1 tour -.-

another misunderstandin... elaine say gt VIP... so thot e 9am tour not i take... in e end is me -.-

anyway... ytd stay for 3 tours, includin mine... 2 tours r kindergarten kids, n oso adults... den 3rd tour was actually workin adults...

for mine... e 1st part (a.k.a wave) was skipped... dey went into e auditorium went we went up dere... so jus start right frm e auditorium...

ok... so i haven been rehearse tt part of tour... so end up... i dun really rmb wad to say... bt still manage to get it over :p den to 4 taps plaza... anyway... e rest manage to get tru lar... jen yan took over over me @ e ipu section...

den durin zhi xin's turn, elaine wan me take over for e ipu section...

@ e water-wise arcade dere is a torture seh... for e kindergarten tour... *faint* esp e raft part... haf a terrible time tryin to control dem... thanx gdness tt for e 1st tour... e tcher pretty strict... so e kids behave better...

for e tours... e seniors guides r dere to help us... colin share wid us quite a lot of tips :)

anyway... 1st time go tru out e whole centre... cuz wen we go practice, onli do e 1/2 half... den didn't go to e rest of e centre...

e next time we go will b assessment liao... YIKEs... all e best to every1...

omg... somemore everything feel so real!! like i'm recap on wad i haf done like tt... omg!

i take over frm some1 ( ok... so i didn't rmb who i take over frm) aft tt water-wise arcade... den i was sayin :"huh? y me?"

so i gather e visitors... den proceed to IPU section... den it's like soooo many ppl until hor not enuff seats... so some r sittin on e floor or standin @ e back...

den i intro: " welcome to the IPU theater... (nearly forget say wad ipu stand for) well, IPU stand for indirect potable use... how singapore use NEWater indirectly... we'll oso learn how other countries, like UK, US and Germany, are usin tis technology as well... so, enjoy the show... cya~"

1st day training 2day @ NEWater...

dere's tis grp of Korean kindergarten kids... super cute!! haha... den we, e volunteers, haf to follow tt tour to c how's e tour suppose to b...

nervous... haha... cuz i'm "lucky" enuff to b chosen by Elaine to gif e tour to e visitors... 1 o e 3 chosen 1... e other 2 r desheng n eugene...

bt den... in e end... tt tour was cancelled... all 3 of us sigh a relief... haha...

so end up every1 haf a mock run of e tour... eugene 1st... cuz wen we decide for e role... he was suppose to cover e 1st part... den followed by desheng... den me... put up e mike... n off to start e tour...

really nervous... cuz i scare miss out some impt stuff didn't say... so wen my turn is over... it's really a relief...

Elaine commented on how we did for givin tt "tour"... our gesture... speech...

dere's 1 part where we haf to remind e visitors to switch deir hp to silence... n guess wad... i say pls silence ur hp -.-" bt change b4 i say everything... bt still caught by elaine

gd point is tt... she say i sound hyper durin e introduction... bt den... i was nervous like mad... i tink i jus raise my voice bah? eye contacts r made... hmm... to nervous to notice @ tt time... n i did well @ 1 part... dun rmb whic part she say...

bt point is tt... i forget wad i wanna say... so i like speakin halfway den break n say wad i miss out... like wad IPU stand for...

went for NEWater volunteer guide orientation 2day...

wake up early... cuz scare will b late...

took e shuttler bus @ Tenah Merah mrt station dere... den so happen tt desheng n his clsmates oso sign up for tis volunteer thingy...

anyway... out trainer is Elaine... she's really fun to b wid... told us a lot of stories :p

can't w8 for e training to start... miss those volunteerin time in science centre... bt for tis... it's gng to b a guided tour... not like in science centre... explain some exhibit to e visitors onli...

p.s. i'm e onli 1 in Fs0701 to volunteer to go for tis programme seh... bt i noe i'll enjoy it :)
