Finally lead a tour ytd...

due to misunderstandin... i volunteer to b e 1st 1... bt onli i volunteer liao... i realise tt is do whole tour... not 3 ppl do 1 tour -.-

another misunderstandin... elaine say gt VIP... so thot e 9am tour not i take... in e end is me -.-

anyway... ytd stay for 3 tours, includin mine... 2 tours r kindergarten kids, n oso adults... den 3rd tour was actually workin adults...

for mine... e 1st part (a.k.a wave) was skipped... dey went into e auditorium went we went up dere... so jus start right frm e auditorium...

ok... so i haven been rehearse tt part of tour... so end up... i dun really rmb wad to say... bt still manage to get it over :p den to 4 taps plaza... anyway... e rest manage to get tru lar... jen yan took over over me @ e ipu section...

den durin zhi xin's turn, elaine wan me take over for e ipu section...

@ e water-wise arcade dere is a torture seh... for e kindergarten tour... *faint* esp e raft part... haf a terrible time tryin to control dem... thanx gdness tt for e 1st tour... e tcher pretty strict... so e kids behave better...

for e tours... e seniors guides r dere to help us... colin share wid us quite a lot of tips :)

anyway... 1st time go tru out e whole centre... cuz wen we go practice, onli do e 1/2 half... den didn't go to e rest of e centre...

e next time we go will b assessment liao... YIKEs... all e best to every1...

1st day training 2day @ NEWater...

dere's tis grp of Korean kindergarten kids... super cute!! haha... den we, e volunteers, haf to follow tt tour to c how's e tour suppose to b...

nervous... haha... cuz i'm "lucky" enuff to b chosen by Elaine to gif e tour to e visitors... 1 o e 3 chosen 1... e other 2 r desheng n eugene...

bt den... in e end... tt tour was cancelled... all 3 of us sigh a relief... haha...

so end up every1 haf a mock run of e tour... eugene 1st... cuz wen we decide for e role... he was suppose to cover e 1st part... den followed by desheng... den me... put up e mike... n off to start e tour...

really nervous... cuz i scare miss out some impt stuff didn't say... so wen my turn is over... it's really a relief...

Elaine commented on how we did for givin tt "tour"... our gesture... speech...

dere's 1 part where we haf to remind e visitors to switch deir hp to silence... n guess wad... i say pls silence ur hp -.-" bt change b4 i say everything... bt still caught by elaine

anyway... out trainer is Elaine... she's really fun to b wid... told us a lot of stories :p

can't w8 for e training to start... miss those volunteerin time in science centre... bt for tis... it's gng to b a guided tour... not like in science centre... explain some exhibit to e visitors onli...

p.s. i'm e onli 1 in Fs0701 to volunteer to go for tis programme seh... bt i noe i'll enjoy it :)

Pitstop outing

went out wid frien 2dae...

meet up wid yg @ amk 1st cuz buyin cake to celebrate ilm bday...

den wen to raffles place... n since it's still early... both of us went to find e pitstop cafe 1st... @ least later won't get lost mah... haha... a back-up plan if ilm not sure how to go :p

i'm glad we went to check out where pitstop is... cuz ilm ask us to go 1st -_-''' he was late... n he lost his way wen he gng to pitstop...

haf a great time @ pitstop... play a few game... such as hali gali, cash and gun, Imaginiff, Jurassic Jumble, Snorta, Ugly dolls, apples to apples...

i love cash n gun, jurassic jumble and ugly dolls... those were great game... ok.. mayb cash n gun not tt great... bt i love tt game... haha...

for ugly doll... every1 jus went UGLY UGLY UGLY~ LoL

The story of frog

A number of frogs were traveling through the woods. Two of them fell into a deep pit.

All the other frogs gathered around the pit. When they saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead.

The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit with all of their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop the pain and just die pleasantly.

Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died.

The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Despite the yelling of the frogs to tell him to stop, he jumped even harder and finally made it out.

When he got out, the other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" They found later that the frog was deaf and he had thought they were encouraging him the entire time.

This story teaches two lessons:

1. There is the power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it through the day.

2. A destructive word to someone who is down can be the push over the edge. Be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your path.

Anyone can speak words that can rob another of the spirit to push forward in difficult times.

actually was to catch e movie "Ratatouille"... bt in end up... tour ard e place, visit e new exhibition "So Singapore Toon 2007" as well as watch a 3D show, a documentary and e movie... ohh.. and not 2 forget... e shootin gallery...

1st... went for lunch... b4 proceedin to "So Singapore Toon 2007"... had a crazy time dere... haha... did a poster, which cost $2... bt it's e 1 n onli in e world... muahaha... hehe... took photos... spend abt 1+hr dere...


den wen to shootin gallery... play twice... soo happy seh... cuz for both time... i score e highest!! 11 for e 1st time and 17th for e 2nd time... woohoo... n i tink 17 is e highest ever since i play shootin gallery...

next we catch e 3D show... Robots on Mars... hmmm... i tink it'll b nicer if it's a 4D show... cuz e effects will b really excitin... bt e story plot... not really interestin...

den wen to e main exhibition to tour ard b4 e next show... watch e Merlion video... still lovin it.. despite watchin it for quite a few times... hehe... play e harmony game... didn't manage to do much... cuz of e time constraint... onli 35mins to visit e main exhibition...

It's great... recommended!! it show e tough climbin e climbers had to do... e decision dey had to make... e family of e climbers supportin dem... it's not an easy task to climb Mt Everest... ppl haf risk deir life to do so... and many die while tryin to do so...

had ard 20min break b4 e movie... so went to e cafe to eat something... nice blueberry cheesecake dey haf dere :P

Pay it forward

For those who've forgotten that they've had this before. at goes around.....

He was tired and aching and on his way home from a long day at work, so he almost didn't see the old lady stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His old Pontiac was still sputtering as he approached her.

Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe; he looked poor and hungry.

He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was that chill which only fear can put in you.

He said, "I'm here to help you, ma'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson."

Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire.

As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn't thank him enough for coming to her aid.

Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped.

Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way.

He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, "Pass it on."

He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight.

A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn't erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan ..

After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the napkin.

There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: "This isn't a tip, it's a gift. You don't owe me anything. Somebody once helped me out and if you feel you want to pay me back, don't let this chain of love end with you, pass it on." Under the napkin were four more $100 bills.

Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it to closing time. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard....

She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a gentle kiss and whispered soft and low, "Everything's going to be all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson."

There is an old saying "What goes around comes around." Today I sent you this story, and I am asking you to pass it on. Let this light keep shining.
