Remininse on the good old time of OTians

Been reading OT thread when MH mention it in FB... Still readin, many more pages to go...

The good old times... The confides, the laughter, the matchmaking, the joy... The friendships that forged and the closeness of a family. What have remain, is just the memories of it.

How many of us were as close as we used to be?
How many of us still remember each other?

It's just three years, or rather, two and a half years to be exact. But things had changed. Too many things.

That was the place where I found friendships
That was the place I used to pour out my problems
That was the place where we goof around.
That was the place we gotten close.

That was the place, where we start to nickname each other, as a certain 'family member'

And because of the friendships from this thread, Da even say that I prove that online friendships can last.

Thanks OTians... for the memories we had together...

Movie: Shrek 4

Caught Shrek with Da at The Cathay yesterday...

Somehow, feel that the movie is kinda a little like nothing much? As in, content not really impactful kinda feeling... Storyline moving too fast?

Glad that we didn't caught it in 3D... Feel that it won't be much different in 3D anyway...

Like what Fiona say to Shrek when they went out of the room. Too often, we ourselves don't see what we have. Only to realise when it's lost. What's the point then?

Shrek is lucky to be able to salvage the situation ultimately. But how many of us would even have that chance to salvage at all? He's the only one who was affected, because no-one is truly at that situation other than himself.

But in real life, it's not as simple. No matter how hard someone try to salvage, the impact is there, damage done. Nothing can be revert back to the past. The scars are there to stay.

Coffee or Cup?

A group of graduates, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups -porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee, the professor said, "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the simple and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases, it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups...Then you began eyeing each other's cups."

"Now consider this", said the professor, "Life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change, the quality of Life we live. Sometimes, by concentrating on the cups, we fail to enjoy the coffee. Enjoy your coffee!"

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

Four things to take note of in life...

1. Live simply

2. Love generously

3. Care deeply

4. Speak kindly,

Shine a light and enjoy your coffee today! Enjoy your Life!Smile

Birthday Wishlist?

In less than a month to go!!!! Birthday Birthday Birthday!!!! Woots~ Less than a month to be still parts of the 10s, before going to the 20s!!!

Anyway, was thinking of writing up a list... Something like a do's and don'ts for my birthday presents~ hee~ True that I'm ok with any presents, but then, would be much happier if it's something that is much more useful to me.

Don'ts:
  1. I'm a jigsaw puzzle lover, however, I would much appreciate if it's given to me as a gift voucher rather than a box of jigsaw puzzle/solved jigsaw in a frame. I like to solve them myself, or with friends and family, but not the completed ones. Having to be soooo crazy over jigsaw puzzle last year had made me buy a lot of jigsaws. By giving me gift voucher would enable me to choose the designs that I yet to own, as well as the design that I love to own.
  2. I like plush toys, however, I'm having too many plushies with me due to me going to arcade to play on the UFO catcher and similar machines. I'm rather choosy over the plushie that I own, especially with the appearance of the plush. Giving me plushies would most likely to result it being left to one side, or up at my blogshop ultimately to clear space @.@ Not that I don't appreciate it!

Do's:
  1. Gift vouchers or similar will be appreciated. Be it for movies, crafting, makaning or shopping...
Crafting gift vouchers can be of these places: Junior De Artist, Made With Love, Papermart
    Movie: Cathay or GV
  2. Though I say gift vouchers are good, I would prefer it to be in cash. Not money faced!! Just being practical. Because I can used it with my saving to get my crafting stuff or those stuff on my wishlist.
  3. Talking about wishlist, that will be the best best best gift ever. Hee~ BUT!! I know it's not really cheap, other than the last few. Would love it if anyone get those books for me!
  4. Personalized or handmade stuffs are good as well. Just a simple HANDMADE card. Or a personalized accessory (eg. necklace or keychain or hp strap). Regarding HANDMADE card, I can be rather fussy though @.@
  5. A makan treat would be good as well ^^

That's all for now I guess.

Oh~ By the way... I have membership card for Action City, Junior De Artist, Made With Love, Punkstar, Jigsaw Puzzle World *can't rmb e rest for now* If going to these places to get stuff, do let me know!

Formula Drift Singapore 2010

Went to Formula Drift Singapore 2010 with deardear and his colleague... Really glad that deardear bring me to watch it... TOTALLY ENJOY IT!!! ^^

Was really hot though... Lucky deardear bought the grandstand tix... so we're under e tent~ away from e sun~~ But still super stuffy n hot... sweatin like crazy aft e break time...

Too bad it didn't rain... e weather was really nice ard 12+ cuz it seem like it's gng to rain soon. Both of us were wishin that it would just rain somehow... not cuz for e coolness bt for e excitement of e drifting...

There were times where my jaw just drop! Cuz it's just sooooooooo jaw-droppin... Ok~ i haf totally no idea how to describe =.=" e speed of it, e accident tt happen, etc...

Oh... and there were times tt I predict which car will win... hehe... n it was right... wakaka... though i haf to say, i can't rmb hu is e driver n stuff... tell deardear which colour will win rather den which driver will win... hehe

Not e 1st time watchin drift though... Went wid deardear to watch driftin last year @ expo... But somehow, doesn't really feel e excitement... FYP week 6

End of week 6 of FYP... And also week 1 of sch...

Been neglect this blog quite a lot @.@ too many blog liao... hee~ updatin on special stuff like winnin of tix n stuff only @.@ damn lazy to blog actually~.~

FYP 1st ppt 2day... as well as the student briefing tt was given by me!!! Ahhh~~~ Anyway, FYP no longer be for 6month as Richard Khaw let us go for YOG attachment for one month in July/August!! Though the pay is kinda little (8hrs for S$25 only!!!!), at least... I get to participate in YOG one way or another... Hee~ And also cut short my fyp!! Muahaha! Though exam will take place just barely a week later only. *glad I only have one examable module...*

Sometime I wonder, perhaps, having to retain another year is kinda like a blessing in disguise? Not that I want to retain for a year or anything, but come to think of it, if I have not been retain for a year, would I even get this chance? Would I even get to visit FHA again? And would I even get to work on this rare (to quote my supervisor) FYP topic, which is also a S$1000++ project? *though I prefer e S$1000 be given to me for working on this project*

FYP is still manageable for now. But tiring though. To be in school daily from 9am-5pm can be rather torturing in a way!!! But we have nice lecturers ^^

Loving my FYP for now... But I guess, the after effect will be that I'll be super sick and tired of ice cream? Imagine having 3month (or even more!) worth of icecream!! Almost every other day!!! But~ hehe... been enjoying myself cause I get to choose the brands and flavours... And guess my benchmark product? It's BEN&JERRY!!! Woots... Can't wait for the next session to dig into my B&J chocolate chip dough~ my favourite ^^ Need to find the Hagaan Dazs' Chocolate chip dough as well... Not available in AMKhub NTUC... Hopefully can find~~

Taking a break this weekend. Shall resume on Monday where lots of datas to be collated! imagine collating result from 90+ candidates... And follow by the screenin test *faint*

After watching it yesterday. Kinda realise that the above song is the most hyper/happy song in the musical. Well~ can't forget that my favourite song of the musical even before I went to watch. Hehe...

Quite amuse by some of the stuff. Like how the blind man 'read' the work by the scholar just by sniffing. *laugh as I recall* And also the end there, the ultra super quick change!

*Two thumbs up*

Worth watchin!!! Ought to watch if you yet to catch it! Recommended!

*wish they will release an OST for this musical*
