Went for my 1st book signing... Mitch Albom book signing @ ION... had Felicia for company...



reach @ 12 for goodie bag collection.. den check up lvl5 of prologue... Stationeries section... bought new craftin stuff~~



Queue up for the signing aft making those purchase... wait~ wait~ wait~



He reached slightly after one... And gave a very interesting speech... can't rmb e exact speech... Below are some of the more impactful part that I remember...



When he reach, he start his speech with: "Woah, don't you people has a job?"

He been in Singapore for a few days... And this is the first time he came to Singapore. He shared his thought about coming to Singapore. "When my first book is out, someone had asked me to come to Singapore but I told him nah, it's too far. When I publish my 2nd book, I was asked to come over to Singapore as well, but I gave the same response. This time, my publisher sending me over to Australia and New Zealand, and told me to drop by Singapore as it's on the way. So I say why not. On the flight, I check with them the duration, only to know that the flight is 18hrs. 18hr?! That's not on the way from ANYWHERE!"

And he ended with: "I better get on with the signing of the book. I believe at least 2 or 3 of you are working. And I think a few of you look like you had skip school to come for this. You should be reading in school, not reading here. Anyway, don't have to be so serious since it's a Friday"

Had lots of laughter hearing his speech...

Got my book signed just b4 2pm... more than an hour of queueing!!!! But I enjoyed myself ^^ Got all four of my books signed~ wee!! All delicated to myself... muahahah~ :P

PDD exhibition

The final exhibition for me in NYP... Presenting PDD product: Fruit-Flavoured Snowskin Mooncake.

Even though we're only two in a group. Even though we're of different race. Even though we have clashes of timetable. Even though we kept failing during our trial. I'm glad that it ended well afterall, with our product being accepted by the visitor.

Very simple set up for our 'booth'... A poster, 3 tentage, traditional mooncake mould, rolling pin, our mooncake samples and the poster.




Even though evaluation didn't seem to go well, which had affected me quite a lot, but all it took was a visitor to boost my confident about my own product.

Had an interesting conversation with that lady. Learn quite a lot from her, just from that short conversation. Was happy that she's interested in our product and had make her way directly to our booth even though it was 'in e corner'.

I didn't know that mango is a high calories food aka 'fattening food'.
I didn't know that the ang mo prefer eating fruits like rock melon n watermelons over mango.

I guess, our objectives and the targeted group help us with the direction we want to go for our product. Though both of us know nothing much about the snowskin mooncake in the market, nor had we tried any snowskin mooncake before, we manage to pull through.

Having to target the youth and young adult as well as the non-chinese kinda justify our product and got agreement from the public. By targeting to share a traditional chinese snack with the non-chinese, as well as to promote this to other countries.

A fruit-paste snowskin mooncake.

Not like those ice-cream snowskin mooncake nor the traditional bean-paste baked mooncake. Ours is like an in between? As of our objective, to retain the traditional mooncake as well as to make it our very own... I guess, we have met it.

Really have to thank popo for helping me out for that 1 week... From the last minute trial on last thurs to monday when we did e mass production of 76 mooncakes in 3.5 hrs... Helping me out with cooking of the filling to get the ideal version. She even ask me about the exhibition after it ended.


I was really happy, when a fellow coursemate who tried my mooncake said that my mooncake skin is better and softer compared to another group (yr 1). For the past trial, the lab assistant been telling me how much better the other group was. I was pretty dejected as it seem that I can do a better job compare to the yr 1. Trials kept failing despite to the changes and improvement made.

I tried the other group's mooncake. Similar to ours, they had made snowskin mooncake as well, just that their is milo skin with chocolate and nuts filling. Indeed, their skin is much harder, despite it no longer being cold aka rm temperature. Whereas our is still soft even though we removed from the fridge not long ago.

Lecturers and schmate reflected that they like the filling, that the fillings is good. Some had told me that they like the skin. I'm surprise, because to me, the skin was still not up to standard yet.

Perhaps, failure does lead to success in the end?



P.S. To be truthful, I have yet to try my own product, despite having to work on it for weeks already @.@

Body World

Visited Body World wid deardear last saturday... Been wanting to go since the exhibition start, and finally we visited.

Both of us had visited the previous exhibition, thus rather hype to go the current one. We keep talkin abt the previous exhibition, about which one interested us most and stuff...

Somehow, this year exhibition doesn't seem to amaze us like how the previous did. Perhaps, it's because we been to the previous, unlike last time, it was the first time we saw those kind of exhibition.

Somehow, it look rather fake? *shrug* But still rather interesting as there is more animals in this exhibition. And quite a lot of information about reproduction and stuff as this exhibition theme is about life cycle.


Worth going if you haven been there yet. S$23 for both body world and science centre admittance. If you're PAssion card member, it's onli S$17!!

1st week

It's the 4th day of Jan '10... And it seem, 2010 may turn out better than 2009...

Since I got my license on the last day of 2009, I had drove the car twice. Bad on the 1st time, improve on the 2nd... Mom even compliment and say that my parkin is better than my dad ^^ hehe~ Triangle plates up... countin down to the day those two will be removed... 361 days more!!

1st day back in sch... Though I'm still in denial that sch have already start... Only two hours of lecture today as there were no pract lesson. Ended up, cls ended within an hour. So now waiting for Da for a meetup~

Got a surprise just now when Ms Sze wanted to see me... Though what happen and I have to meet her... Attendance? can't be, as that will be meetin TT, not Ms Sze... Her module common test result? can't be bah, since only meetin me and another person... PanYu 2 weeks attachment programme? Unlikely ain't it, since there are so many juniors who applied for it as well, and also the fact that my result are lousy... Just can't seem to conjure some reason up...

Meet her @ 1315 @ her office... Ended up, I was kinda right. It was for PanYu attachment. Just that, it's not just 2 week, but 1 month... Me and another gal... Both workin on different fyp but have to move around together as we are the only FS students and also that we're the only one there for 1 month and that both of us are gals...

1 month... This will be the first time that I'll be out of Singapore for so long... And it's also the longest that I'll be out of Singapore... Thought going round and round in my head...

Anyway, for yogurt place... Pay increased to S$5.20 per hour... I thought will only raise this month... But yesterday was told by Jerry that pay raise started frm 1st Dec... I was surprise when I hear that... Cool~ now I got more $$~ haha... Bad news is that I have to cover YenLing frm 11th-14th jan as she's oversea... Never mind~ then I gt more $$... Just a bit sian that that day on New Year Day I work 12hours... Though will get 1.5X for pay... end up only additional S$2 per hr... Lose around S$7+ cause of the difference between 1.5X and S$2 sia!!!! gosh~

Talkin abt pay and Panyu... I wonder if I can get 1 month off frm Yogurt Place... If I can't, it's rather pointless to cont' workin aft april isn't it? Since my pay will drop back to the S$4.50 pay... Shrug... need to talk to YenLing/Jerry about it...

seem to be a good start for now... though dere was lil mishap n stuff... @.@

Sch reopen

School going to start in just a few more hours... Dreading this week a lot...

Deadline of 3 assignments... 2 e-journal reviews and 1 video project... I'm so not lookin forward to going back to school! before long will be end of semester with all e horrifying examinations!!! AHHHH~~~ psst~ can we just fast forward to after tt please *look with big innocent puppy eyes*

Truly back into it this time round... Full focus? *shrug* All I know for now is that I'm dng my best to commit as much I can... To offer as much as I could... How things will turn out ultimately, only time can tell... How others going to see me isn't as important as how I truly feel in me...

Pretty lost abt e movie... is it true story? hmm~

Didn't expect any laughter actually... and at the start, I was kinda regretting watchin the show somehow? Feel like watchin a documentary... But, as I cont' to watch, change of mind ^^

Touching... and yea~ I cried -.-


It left me thinking... how much sacrifices is actually needed? Perhaps, it may be good in a long time, but bloodshed and losing of love ones/lives... Is it really worth it? It was done to protect a man who they don't even know personally, which actually is for the future of e country...

Sometimes, it's not really about what is right or wrong. But how much it's worth? *shrug*

p.s. I have no idea what i'm writin actually... tt's how confusin e movie left me...

In 2009

In 2009...

...I watch 45 movies,which including 2 marathons.

1st marathon was with BTP, watching 3 Pixel movies @ cineleisure... 2nd movie maranthon was wid Da, watching Twilight and New Moon @ vivocity... Totally love it ^^ The rest? Practically all wid Deardear... From animation to action to horror... Average ard 1 movie each week! GOSH!! Thanks to the GV movie card that leemei help me get, the Cathay gift card that XiaoYi give me as well as being a study... manage to save quite a lot on movie... n also that sometime, deardear sponsor me for the movies~

Oh, and not forgettin that it's the 1st time I watch an after-midnight movie, on Boxing day with Deardear


...I went for 2 oversea trips during the winter season.

1st trip was to Sydney, Australia as a study trip with my clique and Mr Khaw... Totally love the weather there. And not forgettin that it was the 1st time going oversea without my family...

2nd trip was to Korea with family... Didn't enjoy as much I had for Australia... But pretty much enjoy it... Tried out skiing, making own kimchi, wearing the traditional korea costume... And not forgettin caught tt little snowflake~


...I signed up for 5 membership
1st: Jigsaw Puzzle world membership, with S$250 purchase I tink. Got hook to jigsaw puzzle in Jan... And had been buying jigsaw almost monthly... Except for aug to oct period? Had tried out different jigsaws. My favourite? The panorama as well as those miniature jigsaw... Not forgetting that I compeleted 2 set of 1000 pieces jigsaw... ^^ But yet to complete that 2000 piece winnie and friend jigsaw (wonder when I gng to complete that??)

2nd: Action City membership in Jan, with S$50 purchase... Had sign up when I bought my jelly-lens... But didn't really use that card cuz hardly go Action City to buy anything.

3rd: Made with Love membership in July, with min of S$5 purchase... That was when I get very very into cards making and stamping. Started to invest in stamping as well as crafting material. Actually, this is more of a loyalty card then membership...

4th: Junior De Artist membership in Aug, I think? Had sign up cause of the great promotion offered to the members. And boy am I glad to sign up for this, even though this is the most expensive membership that I had sign up... S$120!!! But brcause of the membership, I had save $500+ in the purcahse that I made in the following month. And not forgettin that the goodie bag is totally worth it ^^

5th: Popular student membership card in Dec. Mom help me sign up for this as she feel that I need it pretty often. And having two cards at home will be more convenient since me and my sister keep kopin the card and forget to put it back.


...I got my license!

Sign up in late Feb... Cleared by BTT on the 1st try, FTT on the 2nd try and finally TP on the 1st try (nope not 3rd try -.-)... 1st lesson was on the last week of May, taught by Paul... And the next lesson was all the way in July... One reason cause there isn't much slot left in June and that I went oversea as well...

It was fun learnin to drive, even though manual can be a lil bit more troublesome, as need to control the clutch. But somehow, I prefer the manual one more... Perhaps it's because I'm use to drivin that? *cross finger that I get to drive durin CNY)

Got my license on the last day of 2009. What a good way to end 2009 ^^


...I had non-family member sleeping over

Fel was the 1st non-family to sleepover at my hse. Original plan was stayin over at her camp... but due to circumstances, ended up at my hse...

Deardear being the 2nd to stayover... Had went for an after-midnight movie @ amkhub... Ended at 4am, and deardear don't want to waste money on cab... And see-ing that I'm very tired, he pei me home and keep coaxin me to go rest... Ended up I fall aslp next to him, while he's usin the com in my livin rm...


... I had a sleepover at a frien house

Sleepover at fel hse... which, prior to that, she came all the way to amk to look for me at work and take the train with me to her hse... Her maid cook a super duper nice dinner!


... I had lots of emotion sea-sawing

Emotions really on a sea-saw this year... Ups and Downs... Not that a lot of stuff happen physically around me, more like mentally, emotionally and psychogically...

Break down in April had impact me so badly that I nearly did something that I'll regret. But thanks to those around me, who been offering a hand to me each and everytime, I woke up, I stood back up.

Too much going on inside me, that lead to many little meltdowns and another breakdown. In a way, I'm glad for this happening, for it had enable me to see, who are the ones who are really there for me, concern about me. Those who had been there for me, thanks for the listening ear, the shoulder to cry on, the lending hands and most importantly, the time and effort.


... I had lost some, gain some

Gain some friendships.
Lost some naiveness
Gain some experience.
Gain some new skills

In a way, 2009 had been an eye-opening year for me. A year that I had accept quite a few stuff, which I had realise of previously, but just won't accept. It's a way that I see certain stuff clearer and better. It's a year that I start to make changes around me.

Friendships, cca, work... Each had a lesson, a trial, an obstacle... providin me a chance to learn, to gain experience, to grow. And it also became chance that cause me to change.



Overall, 2009 had been really eventful. It had been both a great and a bad year for me. But I know, things happened for a reason. I may not know why it happen, but in due time, I'll find out. Like how certain stuff in the past had lead to what I may have gone through or will be going through this year.

All I hope is that, 2010 will be a better year.

super duper amazing movie! so great tt I wanna watch 2nd time! and in 3D... *too bad i'm workin on New Year Day -.- family watchin 3D @ SDC T.T*

love the storyline.. Despite that I'm super tired... I still manage to keep awake throughout the whole movie~ fit for both gender... Action, romance, mystery, blah blah~

End of Common Test

Movie: Planet 51

Finally caught Planet 51 wid Deardear 2day @ AMKhub...

it a really great movie tt is worth watchin!! I'm sooo amuse by e part tt chuck actually like hoppin wen he plant e flag.. n even hummin e victory song while dng tt... haha...

totally love rover!!! kawaii!!!! he's sooo smart la~ n e scene tt it's rainin... it's soo amusing! haha...


Sometime, what we truly are afraid of, isn't what's threatening us, but it's the unknown. Not knowing about something, not knowing what's going to happen, put us in fear. Little did we know that perhaps, this unknown is nothing to be fear about. It may be our friend, it may be the moment that changes our life, it may be a knowledge waiting for us to comprehend.

Sometime, we thought we know. But what exactly do we knew? Chuck had thought that the planet is uninhabited, because that's all the photo that they received from rover. Lem thought he know about the universal, but he barely know much about it. The SGT thought he know what the 'alien' want, but truth is, he isn't anywhere close to it.

really ought to catch this movie. Rather light-hearted with lots of laughters...
